The festival will be held from Thursday, March 10 to Monday, March 14, 2016. The iconic tobacco drying kilns of the past, farmland and the exquisite Mount Buffalo mountain range awaits as you enter into the picturesque Ovens Valley, where the entire community will welcome you to join with them in ve days of festival events with something for everyone. And the majority of events are free. Every festival showcases the region s agricultural prosperity and diversity, and other industries that support the community, acknowledging the role that the planting, growing and harvesting of a vast variety of crops play in its richness. The town centre will be abuzz on the Saturday as the main street is closed all day for the huge open-air street market, parade and evening street party. There will be entertainment by talented performers, amusement rides and activities for the kids and a variety of market stalls complete with food court set in a relaxed, friendly community setting. The 2016 event will offer visitors a huge program of activities over the March Labour Day long weekend in addition to the main highlights, including cattle sales, historical, art, craft and photography exhibitions, helicopter joy ights, local and handmade Cotters market on Sunday and much more.
